My name is Brooke Kelly. I’m a creative writer working on short fiction, creative nonfiction, and longer works of fiction. I’ve loved telling stories since I could speak–my friends and family can testify that I can tell the same story again and again, even when I know you’ve already heard it.
Writing was a natural hobby for me, but I didn’t consider pursuing a creative career professionally until my senior year of high school. That fall, my short story, “Pretty Thing”, won first place in my school’s horror writing competition. With a newfound passion for writing and a novel sense of accomplishment, I decided to pour my heart into my creative avenues.

Through my years at Kennesaw State University, I have explored different genres and mediums of writing, but I always fall back on my old love of all things creepy. I’m always looking for someone to go see the newest horror movie with me, and spend my year counting down the days until my next Halloween Horror Nights visit to Universal Studios. Outside of my fondness for the supernatural, I try to find inspiration in many places across the world that I have been lucky enough to visit.
