Hi! My name is Brooke, and I’m a writer currently pursuing a BA in English from Kennesaw State University. My writing reflects my love for all things spooky as well as a passion for literature and rhetoric. I’ve loved telling stories since I could speak; my friends and family can testify that I’ll tell the same stories again and again, even if I know you’ve already heard them.
Writing was a natural hobby for me growing up, but I didn’t consider pursuing a career in writing until my senior year of high school, when my short story, “Pretty Thing”, won first place in my school’s horror writing competition. With a newfound excitement about writing and a novel sense of accomplishment, I decided to pour my heart into my creative avenues.
Throughout my years at KSU, I have begun to explore other forms of writing, including creative nonfiction, flash fiction, and poetry. It is my goal to continue to explore and enhance my writing in all forms as I pursue publication and a career in the publishing industry.
One of the greatest gifts in my life has been the ability to travel with my family and friends. Though inspiration can always be found in the mundane, I have fallen in love with looking for inspiration in every corner of the world, gratefully surrounded by my loved ones.
